David started playing guitar at age 8, and along the way picked up the banjo, pedal steel, dobro, and mandolin as well. He has extensive experience on stage, in the studio, and in the orchestra pit playing everything from country, bluegrass, and folk, to rock and roll, pop, and jazz.
Over the past several years, David has done session work, played in Broadway pits, and performed with many different bands in the New York City area. He plays regularly with bluegrass group the String Fingers Band, who has shared the stage with the likes of Bill Frisell, Sierra Hull, Darrell Scott, Danny Barnes and The Wiyos.
David received his B.A. in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College of Music. He studied pedal steel guitar, banjo and mandolin under the tutelage of Gordon Titcomb, an extremely talented musician with a deep resume of session and performance work. Since 2004, he has also taught private music lessons to students of all ages and playing levels.
